In Book Club, a mentor meets with a group of two or three students once a week over lunch at their school, where they talk, eat, and read a book together. This gives kids both an encouraging mentoring relationship as well as the academic benefits of reading practice. This 30 minutes a week can make a huge difference in the trajectory of a child's life! See how in this video:
Friday Club is a weekly large-group gathering with a fun, camp-like atmosphere where kids have the opportunity to have fun, build relationships with mentors, and talk about the issues and challenges they are facing. We meet at Antioch Community Church on Fridays for games, crazy challenges, arts & crafts and small group discussion times. This is a great way to connect with and encourage kids through the often-challenging adolescent years!
